Terms of use
Last updated 22 October 2026
The short version. Pip Says is for your family to enjoy. Purchases go through Apple. If something goes wrong, write to us and we'll put it right. These terms don't take away any of your rights under consumer law.
Who we are
Pip Says is made by Boroto Ltd, company number 15171190, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 10 Church Square, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1AE, England. Email: hello@pipsays.net.
The app
You get the Pip Says app from Apple's App Store. Apple's standard licence for apps (the Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement) applies to it, together with these terms. If the two ever disagree, Apple's licence wins. You may use the app on any iPhone or iPad you own or control, for your family's own use.
Please don't copy, sell or share the app's pictures, voices or characters, or try to take the app apart. Pip, the animal friends and everything in the app belong to Boroto Ltd or the people who license them to us.
Buying the full version
Animals, Food and Numbers are free. One in-app purchase unlocks the other topics and the words we add later. It's a one-time payment, not a subscription. Apple takes the payment, shows the price in your currency before you pay, and handles refunds through reportaproblem.apple.com. A purchase stays with your Apple ID; on a new device, use "Restore purchases" in the parents' corner.
Children and grown-ups
Pip Says is made for children aged about 2 to 6 to use with a grown-up nearby. Settings, purchases and anything that leaves the app sit in the parents' corner, behind a check a small child can't pass. Please keep your PIN to yourself, and decide together how long play time should be.
Changes and updates
We improve the app from time to time, add words and fix things. Sometimes an update needs a newer version of iOS. We'll try to keep everything you've bought working, and if we ever have to stop offering the app, it will keep working on devices where it's already installed for as long as Apple allows.
If something goes wrong
We make Pip Says with care, but no app is perfect. If something doesn't work as it should, write to us and we'll do our best to fix it. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn't let us exclude. We aren't responsible for problems caused by your device, your internet connection or things outside our control.

The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep any rights the law where you live gives you, and you can bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
